The mission of the Korey Stringer Institute is to provide first-rate information, resources, assistance and advocacy for the promotion of prevention of sudden death in sport via health and safety initiatives. Since 2012, Kestrel has partnered with KSI to help promote education and prevention of exertional heat stroke. Kestrel is now an official partner sponsor of KSI.
Blueforce software and services deliver secure, extensible and agile software capabilities that provide shared situational awareness, tactical collaboration and extensible machine sensor sharing via a plug-in interface for integration of a multitude of sensor types and/or information services. Blueforce provides a mission critical solution for life safety, mission efficiency and the movement of perishable tactical mission data amongst team members and commanders. Kestrel and Blueforce have been working together since 2013 to provide the Shared Weather Intelligence System, which provides real-time strategic weather intelligence to those on our front lines, including safety officers, command staff and wellness providers.
In 2013, Kestrel Weather & Environmental meters partnered with Applied Ballistics, which was founded by Ballistician Bryan Litz and is dedicated to the development of cutting edge products designed to help professional shooters accomplish their mission by leveraging the science of accuracy. With years of experience sending actual rounds down range, measuring their performance and fine-tuning the Applied Ballistics calculator and custom curve library to account for virtually every shooting and environmental variable for an on-target first-shot firing solution, Litz and the Applied Ballistics team are continuously developing and expanding their product offerings to create an integrated system of ballistics data, software and online tools to support recreational, competitive and professional precision shooters. Most recently, Kestrel teamed up with Applied Ballistics to integrate the AB calculator as well as the ability to access and load the full AB custom curve library.
AmericanSnipers.org is an organization structured to helping those that are on the front lines of safeguarding our freedoms. The AmericanSnipers program is entirely funded by civic donations and currently staffed by both operational and retired US police and military snipers (or members of their families). Kestrel currently runs a program that allows customers to trade in their existing Kestrel Meter for a specified value toward a newer or different model. Used Kestrel Meters are then refurbished and donated to AmericanSnipers.org, to help equip our men and women on the front lines.
