Kestrel Instruments Supports Heat Safety Awareness

Kestrel Heat Stress Product Donation Program Now Accepting Applications

Submission Deadline: August 6th, 2021

The Kestrel Instruments Heat Stress Tracker Donation Program is an effort to support athletic trainers with the accurate tools needed for heat safety monitoring and heat stress illness prevention. Protecting students from the risks of exertional heat stress and adverse medical conditions is an essential responsibility of many athletic trainers and coaches. We understand that while schools are committed to ensuring the health and well-being of all their students and student-athletes, resources are often limited in acquiring the best equipment to properly do so.

The Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress Tracker Pro monitors critical local environmental conditions, including the recommended measurement of Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), providing data for the most reliable assessment of heat stress risk.

Ten winners will be selected, and each will receive a Kestrel 5400 Heat Stress Tracker with a vane mount and tripod. Submissions will be evaluated based on the applicant’s submitted goals, school needs, how Kestrel Instruments equipment will help, and existing barriers to purchasing.

Must receive entries by August 6th, 2021, at 11:59 PM EST.
