Purchased a new 5400 this past week for use at school. What is the range/distance for the Bluetooth/link connection from the kestrel to my phone? Though I read a while ago it was about 100 feet. Connection to it today is limited at Lee's than 20 feet b

Ideally the range is up to 100 feet. Probably closer to 50 feet most times. Depends on the conditions, any metal or water will definitely make it worse, even high humidity conditions.

You can set the Auto Shutdown to OFF and then you would need to manually turn it off each time.

We don't have the registration site up just yet. You will be covered based on the serial number of you unit however.
