For CAL MV, the range shown at the top is when the bullet is going transonic, so the CAL MV should be performed within 85-90% of that number (if possible). If you cannot shoot that far, you can do it as far out as you can shoot.

For CAL DSF, the range shown at the top is when the bullet is Mach 0.9, so the CAL DSF should be done at ranges beyond that number shown.
